Growing native plants and trees from seed is one of our main goals. Supporting an eco-friendly environment, enjoying nature and promoting a viable habitat for our pollinators is a key goal for us.
Butterflies are important pollinators to most agricultural crops. In addition to their ecological niche, we celebrate the brilliance and necessity of other pollinators such as birds, bees as well as our native butterflies.
Education in our community about native plants, species and how to nurture a healthy environment is vital to nature, our community, and our youth.

Our generous sponsor TRY Recycling Inc. & The Better Bin Company donated the compost and we bagged each one by hand to help with your gardens!! We have raised over 900 dollars to go towards supporting the Mayors Monarch Pledge here in Middlesex Centre and we are all so extremely thankful and grateful for your support for our pollinating friends!! |
Who are we?
Mayor's Monarch PledgeIn October 2019, Mayor DeViet signed the Mayors' Monarch Pledge. Through the pledge, Middlesex Centre is committing to create habitat for the monarch butterfly and pollinators, and to educate residents about how they can make a difference at home and in our community. Thank you Mayor DeViet!

EducationMiddlesex Centre Pollinator Team understands that the goal to a sustainable eco-friendly future starts with building a foundation of knowledge and appreciation with our youth. Currently we are looking at developing programs presentable in our schools to entice our children's participation. We also promote information sessions regarding pollination and gardening native species in our communities. Enjoy the beauty of our encouragement to learn more, educate others and take pride knowing we can all make a difference! |
